Petrol Price Rises by Rs4.61, Diesel Falls by Rs1.96 Per Liter

Pakistan has increased the petrol price by Rs4.61 per liter and reduced the high-speed diesel price by Rs1.96. The revised rates take effect on September 22, 2026

The Petroleum Division has revised the prices of major petroleum products following changes in international oil prices.

Petrol now costs Rs393.75 per liter. High-speed diesel (HSD) costs Rs422.80 per liter.

The new rates are effective for September 22. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has listed the September 22 pricing publication on its website.

The government has introduced a daily fuel pricing mechanism. OGRA publishes updated petroleum prices on its website under the new system. The mechanism uses a seven-day rolling average of international petroleum prices.

The latest revision means petrol has become more expensive for consumers. Diesel users will see a reduction of Rs1.96 per liter under the new rate.
