PAKISTAN: In the first T20I, Pakistan Women defeated Zimbabwe Women by a huge margin of 153 runs. Batting first, Pakistan scored 237 runs for the loss of five wickets. In reply, Zimbabwe were bowled out for just 84 runs while chasing the target.
In the match played in Karachi, Pakistan Women posted 237/5, which is now Pakistan’s highest total in Women’s T20 International cricket.
For Pakistan, Ayesha Zafar smashed a century off just 47 balls, hitting 15 fours and 2 sixes. She also became the fastest batter from Pakistan to score a century in Women’s T20 Internationals.
Pakistan Women also completed a clean sweep in the three-match series against Zimbabwe Women.
Aliya Riaz scored 48 runs off 23 balls, while Gull Feroza contributed 37 runs.
In response, Zimbabwe Women were all out for 84 runs on the second ball of the 19th over. Natasha Tomba scored 24 runs, while Adiel Zimuno scored 18 runs.
For Pakistan, Fatima Sana took three wickets, while Sadia Iqbal and Natalia Pervaiz claimed two wickets each.
