PTI Protest on 4th October: All Private Schools to Remain Closed in Twin Cities

Private schools in Islamabad and Rawalpindi are closed today due to the ongoing PTI protest at D-Chowk in Islamabad. The protest has caused major disruptions in the city, leading to roadblocks and closures that have made it difficult for students to reach their schools safely. Because of this, the Islamabad Private Schools Association decided that all private schools in the twin cities would stay closed for the day.

According to Waheed Khan, the General Secretary of the Private Schools Association, the safety of children is the top priority. He mentioned that yesterday’s protests led to containers blocking roads, causing problems for students trying to reach their schools. Given the uncertainty and road closures today, the association had no choice but to shut down schools.

Similarly, Abrar Ahmed, the President of the All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association for Northern Punjab, has directed all private schools in Rawalpindi to remain closed as well. He shared that road blockages due to the Islamabad protests have forced them to take this precaution.

The situation in Islamabad remains tense, and authorities are taking necessary actions to ensure public safety. A spokesperson from Islamabad Police has confirmed that all police facilitation centers and the city’s driving license office will also stay closed today due to the ongoing unrest.

With no clear timeline for when things will settle down, parents and students are left waiting for further updates, hoping the situation improves soon and normal routines can resume. Until then, schools in the twin cities remain on standby.
