The petrol price in Pakistan has been increased again for July 24, while the diesel price has also gone up under the government’s new daily fuel pricing system.
According to the latest notification, the petrol price has increased by Rs4.40 per litre, while high-speed diesel (HSD) has become Rs3.62 per litre more expensive.
After the latest increase, the new petrol price has been fixed at Rs331.52 per litre, while the new diesel price now stands at Rs378.66 per litre.
The government has introduced a daily fuel price mechanism due to the changing regional situation. Under this system, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will announce petrol and diesel prices every day without requiring approval from the Prime Minister or the federal government. However, the prices announced before the weekend will remain unchanged on Saturday and Sunday.
