Former President Pervez Musharraf was born on August 11, 1943 in Delhi, he died at the age of 79.
General (retd) Pervez Musharraf assumed the post of Chief of Army Staff on October 7, 1998, on October 12, 1999, he became the Chief Executive after removing former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and later on in April 2002, he was elected as the regular President of Pakistan by holding a referendum.
In the year 2004, through the 17th amendment of the constitution, Pervez Musharraf was elected as the President for another 5 years, Pervez Musharraf resigned on August 18, 2008 and went out of the country.
