Private wheat market has decreased, there is a big reduction in the price
Lahore: Punjab's private wheat market collapsed as a result of severe recession.
In Rawalpindi, the price of private wheat was reduced by Rs 750 per kg, as a result of which the price of wheat was reduced from Rs 5250 to Rs 4500.
The price of private wheat in Punjab is 4500 to 4600 rupees per manne but buyers are absent. After increasing the government wheat quota, Flour Mills reduced the purchase of private wheat.
The warehousemen started offering flour mill owners to sell wheat at cheap rates, however the mills refused.
Improvement in the availability of government flour started in Lahore. Sales of flour sent to trucking points in various regions decreased.
However, in northern Lahore, the additional demand and sale of government flour continues. The food department has deployed special teams at the check posts of the border districts to stop the smuggling.
