Court accepts police request for Fawad's physical remand extension


 Islamabad: Judicial Magistrate approved the physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Fawad Chaudhry for 2 days.


 The local court of Islamabad had ordered Fawad Chaudhry to appear in the court of the Judicial Magistrate of Police Station Kohsar at 3:30 PM, after which the Judicial Magistrate reserved the decision regarding his physical remand, which has now been pronounced.


 Judicial Magistrate Waqas Ahmed Raja has also issued a 5-page written decision to approve Fawad Chaudhry's 2-day physical remand.


 It has been stated in the written decision that the prosecutor has requested a 7-day physical remand of Fawad Chaudhry. According to the prosecutor, Fawad Chaudhry's mobile, laptop and other devices should be recovered. According to the prosecutor, Fawad Chaudhry must also undergo a photogrammatic test.


 It is stated in the written decision that the lawyer of the Election Commission also requested for further physical remand of Fawad Chaudhry, after hearing the arguments of the parties, the 2-day physical remand of Fawad Chaudhry is approved.


 In the written judgment, the court has ordered that Fawad Chaudhry be produced again on January 30. The court has strictly ordered the investigating officer to investigate on merit.


 In the case of Fawad Chaudhry in the court of judicial magistrate, his lawyer Babar Awan gave arguments.

 Earlier, in the case related to spreading hatred against the Election Commission, Islamabad Police challenged the decision to reject Fawad Chaudhry's physical remand.


 Sessions Judge Tahir Mehmood Khan, during the hearing on the appeal of Islamabad Police, inquired about what investigation was done during the two-day physical remand.


 The prosecutor said that physical remand was given for two days, but Fawad Chaudhry was given a physical remand of one day.
