 The temple was inaugurated a few hours before the start of the Hindu festival of Dussehra.

 Raju Shroff, the organizer of this opening ceremony, said on the occasion that the temple is being officially inaugurated in Dubai today. This temple has been built 50 years after the construction of the old temple in Bur Dubai. '

He also said that 16 different idols have been placed in this temple so that all Hindus can worship here.

 People of all religions are allowed to visit the temple and it was earlier informally inaugurated on September 1 when thousands of tourists were allowed to visit the temple to see its architecture.
